Net Neutrality - Goodbye Internet Freedom?
"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you." The scariest words ever spoken. thmbdn2;
Leave it up to the guys in office to screw up the web for the rest of us. I think we're basically doing a pretty good job of policing the web ourselves. The search engines keep getting better and will continue to move closer and closer to A.I. I'd rather have the people at Google, who actually know WTF they're doing and have a vested concern for the web policing it than a bunch of bureaucrats. . . sorry for the soapbox. J -Jesse B.
Net Neutrality is critical. I truly hope more people will become active in fighting these corporate villains who seek to manipulate the web in order to empower themselves while stifling any who would oppose them. Why should the connection to the local news channel's site be any better than that of the independent site in town which actually reports on things which are important?
I can only hope they piss off the wrong hackers out there. -D.M055
China has tired to censor the web for years, at least inside their borders. But there is an entire industry of proxy servers for the Chinese to use to get around their government. As long as people want something, someone will get it for them. -ditch182
