Where Are The Salespeople?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to join and market Salesconx through a variety of social networking sites, but I cannot seem to find very many salespeople through them. Do any of you use sales-oriented social networking sites (aside from this forum) and if so, which ones?

I don't do much of that myself and I don't know a lot of sales people locally who do. I don't think a lot of sales people even know about social networking on the Internet.

Though relatively new to SalesPractice, for a while I have been and continue to be a part of Brad Trnavsky's Salesmanagement 2.0, which is a good resource for sales management and personnel.

I think one of the biggest challenges we all face in meeting people in an online social networking environment is education.

The people that are already doing must educate those that are not. To often do I see people not adding to the conversation and trying to pull what they can from the community.

A good example is one network I belong to the founder will contantly add the same comment to several post that he wants pushed to the top, thus in effect spamming his own network.

What is funny is he does not even realize what bad netiqutte that really is.

Here's a thought - how many salespeople really understand online or offline networking? I think true networkers instantly see the value in social networking.
