"Selling to Consumers" is now hiring independent contractors to do as-needed sales training and coaching throughout the United States in July and August of 2008, with some additional training and coaching assignments possibly continuing for 6-9 months after. The load of work is expected to be high in July and August.

You will travel to various locations in the U.S. to provide individual sales coaching to salespeople by observing their sales calls and commenting afterwards in a verbal coaching environment and also via written evaluations. Our goal is to dramatically improve the sales performance of these individuals. You would represent yourself as an employee of Selling to Consumers, but you will be hired as an independent contractor, so no benefits are included. We will schedule the training/coaching sessions for you.

Travel expenses (flight, per diem, rental car, gas for rental car) will be reimbursed. Compensation is $550-650 per day (or $68-81 per hour) depending upon qualifications.

Requirements:

1. Extensive availability for training/coaching assignments in July 15 – August 30, 2008.

2. Candidate must reside in the U.S. or Canada

3. Background requirements:
▪ Option A: Background and expertise in sales training (Ideally, in-home selling, next best is consumer selling such as retail, insurance, real estate, etc.; third best is any sales training background).

▪ Option B: Background and expertise in sales management (preferably in the business-to-consumer area) with a strong coaching and training component in your background.

4. Own a laptop computer (and projector if you do classroom sessions using PowerPoint).

5. Public speaking skills and one-on-one sales coaching skills

6. References and background check is required.

7. Sales trainers and coaches just starting out in the sales training / sales coaching field are encouraged to apply.

8. Required: 2 hour webinar in preparation for your assignment (not paid).
