Just like anything if you want to do it right AND FAST it requires a bunch of money and you can have a team of people doing everything on this link building chart:
Getting a page indexed in Google fast isn't difficult at all.
Place a link to your page on a high profile site that Google crawls often and presto.
I've seen threads I've started here at SalesPractice show up in Google's index within minutes.

Not difficult. As Speedracer says, have links from sites so that spiders will follow. Also join the various webmaster tools in Google, Yahoo and MSN and submit your site and sitemaps.
