How to choose the best blogging software!

I agree with Mikey. I started off with a blogger site which was simple and easy to start off with but soon became limited in functionality and design. Wordpress does have a lot more to offer in terms of layouts, widgets etc. and the wordpress blogs that I have visited seem a lot more personal than blogger.

I however use a blogging software called Presstopia, only because it is one of the few open source asp.net blogging platforms available which I can fully customise and integrate into my site developments. -nesh thompson

WordPress have created a huge monopoly - the others just aren't getting a look in. Hopefully the user community will drive them to keep improving as a monopoly isn't actually healthy.

In the meantime - I'd recommend them too. It's secure, easy to use and has alot of templates and plugins available - both free and paid. -sarahk

I would also agree a self hosted Wordpress blog rocks! they have so many amazing plugins that make the work a whole lot easier and the whole platform is so easy to use -Smile
