Search Engine Ranking

Sales Training »
I made a posting supporting the position that we should not be so caught up with ranking.

Amongst my argument was that we do not usually notice the ranking of a website.

Admittedly, as another forum participant did suggest, if you have installed the google toolbar then you would see a page's ranking. But then unless we paid special attention, we normally owuld miss it.

What's probaly more important is that Google is doing all it can to make sure that pages it ranks well are highlighted to searchers. The Google suggest box is a powerful tool in this respect.

There is agood article on this at SEOBook

I am sure this initiative must be pushed even more into Chrome though I have noticed anything overt yet.

Well up to now , I will still stand by what I said about not over-emphasizing page rank.

But who knows when I may have to eat my words? -alexhar

I don't understand your point. A high ranking means you have a better chance of being found ! -TonyB
