audio stream

Can anyone assist me in getting information on how to use audio stream on my website?

I have a couple marketing reps who are located in other states. Training them has become very challenging. It seems the "magic" to success in selling my product is locked away inside me and I am having significant difficulty transfering it to others. I thought maybe I would try creating audio training as written training is time consuming and I don't know if people are reading or comprehending the materials.

If anyone has an other suggestions for an effective substitute for one on one training, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
RM

Hi Rainmaker,

You might want to look into things like GoToMeeting.com. You could hold sessions to train a number of people, use presentation material, etc.

There are also services like this one: http://rentabridge*com/morebridgeinfo.htm (put a dot where the *is)

They rent telephone lines and record the session so that others can call in and listen again.

The benefit would be that you have a truly interactive session so that people can ask questions, etc. The downside is that you all have to be available at the same time, at least for the first session to be recorded.

Just some thoughts.

Kathleen,

I have received a number of valuable resources from you. You seem to really by in the know in the marketplace. Thank you for you contibutions.

The first option won't work because my reps are not computer savvy enough to feel comfortable with this type of meeting.

Your second option was interesting, but a key link on the website gave me a "page not found" error, so I was not able to get more info on what I was iterested in. I'll try back.

I need to find a way to reach them in a more personal way (audio was the first to come to mind). I could simply talk into a tape recorder and mail them the tape, but I fear that would look too unprofessional. I cannot affort to make professionally produced materials (such as studio recording or CD).

I'm not familiar with that particular company. They may not be the best alternative - I'm always suspicious when a co's website doesn't work! - but, that type of service may be something you want to look into. Maybe AT&T? At least they should probably work! http://businessesales.att.com/produc...gdisplay.jhtml

If you want to have a phone call where everyone dials into the same phone number at the same time (means they pay long distance charges, but that should be minimal -- or zero if they already have fixed long distance) then I'd suggest http://www.freeconference.com. They provide bridge numbers at no cost and from what I've heard from others who have tried many services, they are very reliable. Gives you mute capability, too -- very important if you have a lot of people on the call.

If, however, you want to record your message and let your reps listen at their convenience, the I'd highly recommend Audio Generator. You can record your training via a microphone attached to your computer, or, you can purchase a handheld recorder ($50-$200) that can upload to your computer via USB. (The recorder can be used anywhere, and comes in handy for dictation and other uses, too. Can even record phone calls with a $30 attachment). Then, upload the mp3 file to Audio Generator, and they have a user-friendly interface to publish your audio -- the simplest being an audio postcard that is sent via email in just 3 steps.

Good luck!

This sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks, Terriz. If you are an affiliate or can somehow be compensated if I decide to make a purchase, send me a pm, so I can go through you.
